Abstract

The following is a case study of a 36-year-old patient diagnosed with Takayasu Arteritis, a disease that often affects females and whose symptoms vary depending on the location of the affected artery. Patient with a deteriorating functional class being considered for both aortic valve replacement and mitral valve repair as a priority. The management of extracorporeal circulation and post-operative extracorporeal membrane oxygenation is detailed in this report.
