Abstract

We report the case of a newborn of 1 891g of weight and 37 weeks of gestation, who underwent emergency Ross surgery for bacterial endocarditis of the aortic valve, severe deterioration of ventricular function, need for mechanical ventilation (ARM) and pharmacological support. This surgical technique was chosen as salvage surgery, against the serious condition of the patient. We report the evolution one year after surgery.
