Accumulating doubts about flow types and associated drugs.

Abstract

Mr. editor of the article of "Clinical influence of the use of two arterial flows and the use of vasoactive drugs in extracorporeal circulation", with great interest I have read his research work, finding some methodological questions and results that generate more doubts than answers. What is the demonstrated benefit of using drugs, especially vasodilators, with high flows? This especially if it is used under a concept as complex as perfusion quality, where practically the only tangible evidence is lactate levels and this parameter has been highly questioned as a single reflection of an optimal perfusion. Also the use of high flows with vasodilator drugs to counteract the effect of one and another technique stablished a pharmacological contradiction that many consider to be invalid.
