Abstract

Peripartum cardiomyopathy is characterized by a type of heart failure that is difficult to manage and represents a challenge throughout its treatment. We present a 20-year-old patient, diagnosed with peripartum cardiomyopathy, who required extracorporeal support throughout her treatment. Management difficulties and challenges faced by the team throughout the therapeutic proposal are presented.
